Naworth

"We've had a wonderful anniversary. Thank you for ensuring that we had such a memorable weekend. Everything was very clean and of a high standard. We really appreciated your tips on how to get the most out of our stay. The visit to the waterfall was magical and an excellent recommendation. We had a lovely meal at Alston House, thank you for organising the evening so well. We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage to family and friends. We very much hope we will be able to return for our next anniversary." Liz and Melvyn from Scarborough, February 2015

"We love staying here. This is our 4th visit to Naworth, having once stayed in Sowerberry. We stayed this year during Narnia type weather. Which was Magical! …and are shocked that today we must leave. Thank you for a lovely holiday.Mary-Ann, Essex, February 2015

Sowerberry

"Sowerberry is very well appointed and we spent several evenings on the balcony admiring the view. Alston is a great place and there is a huge amount to do here. Our 7 year old son said "we must come here more often"Ian & Fiona , Sussex, August 2014

"We've had a lovely stay - there's nothing more we could've wanted - everything was easy and the advice was really good - our children (and us) really enjoyed our stay. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend the cottages. Thankyou so much!" Simon and Vanessa, London April 2015

"We booked this cottage after reading about it on Sawdays. We were looking for a base to explore Hadrian's Wall and surrounding areas. We were also looking for relaxing and quality accommodation. Millstream most definitely met our requirements, and we have been very happy with the cottage - you've thought of everything that we may need (which is not always the case in self catering) and the welcome guide was very useful - even down to the milk in the fridge after our journey up here. Despite the weather we have had a really good stay and we were really cosy and relaxed during the hail/snow!  Alston is a fab town / base and you are very competitively priced as compared to similar in Hexham, etc. We were concerned about the isolation but instructions to get here were great and we would definitely return as there is so much more to see and do! Thanks to Tracy for making us feel welcome, and to you for providing such a pleasant and comfortable place to stay.Louise, Birmingham March 2015

"We had a thoroughly lovely stay and we very much enjoyed coming back from our daily excursions to our snug warm burrow, and it could hardly have been more convenient for the centre of town." Naworth visitor February 2012

"Another lovely stay in your beautiful cottage. Cosy and warm and very relaxing after battling with the elements whilst out walking. Thankyou for another great holiday" repeat visitor Sowerberry October 2011

"An immaculate cottage! Great kitchen and cosy enough, plus perfect base from which to explore town and hills. Warm and functional, quiet setting close to all amenities. For walking this cottage is perfect - you are out of the door and in 5 minutes you are way up into the hills"Millstream visitor October 2011
