Half-term Fun for Kids and Grown-ups too!

Alston snow

Today it was snowing gently all morning, creating a lovely Winter Wonderland again.

Whether you fancy building a snowman and sledging with the kids during the half term break, or a chance to ski without going abroad, with snow forecast over the next two weeks, although we can never guarantee the weather, the North Pennines is #theplacetobe for the best chance of snow in England.

If you are a skier, visit  http://www.yadmoss.co.uk/  for details of the local ski-tow.

And when it snows here and then the sun comes out, you have miles of glistening white snow, sparking in the sunlight (unlike the brown sludge of the city!) Our local Highways teams do a pretty good job of keeping the roads open too. They’re used to the snow, unlike some other parts of the country where the advent of snow seems to cause chaos  (although when it really snows heavily alternative routes to the highest passes do sometimes have to be taken).

So what are you waiting for? We still have availability at half-term – check out our Special offers now!
